Because fatigue is often unavoidable, we must remember that when we are tired, our abilities are not at their full capacity. We must therefore adapt our behavior accordingly.
17 hours without sleep can cause impairment comparable to a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) level of 0.05 g/L (~1 drink).
24 hours without sleep is comparable to a BAC level of 0.10 g/L (~2 drinks).
